The focus was on establishing sports and recreational activities as the development company simply expects that it will make it easier to sell the new homes and at the same time in general increase the quality of the area. The development company is partly owned by the municipality of Skanderborg and LD (Lønmodtagernes Dyrtidsfond).
The Danish Foundation for Culture and Sports Facilities was early on involved in this rare example of planners who had thought about sports facilities as part of city planning from the very beginning. Three areas that together increase the quality of life for the new and coming residents of Kildebjerg-Ry.
