The park is a great example of a dull technical plant, here handling of rising amounts of rainwater, also can function as a fun and attractive place for activity and stay.
In the Rabalder park a lake containing rainwater has been made, handrails of steel for rollerblades and skateboards, a concrete and asphalt channel for water as well as a combined skate bowl and rainwater basin.
The park addresses a broad user group and it is not just skaters who unfolds in the curvy landscape of the Rabalder park. There is plenty of opportunities for slow, recreational stays on the benches, the barbecue areas or on the swings and the training equipment.
The Rabalder park is developed in cooperation between the municipality of Roskilde, Nordarch and The Danish Foundation for Culture and Sports Facilities.
Furthermore, The Danish Foundation for Culture and Sports Facilities has also funded the culture square ‘Kvantespringet’ at Musicon.
